TWO goals in the last two minutes saw Pickering Town book their place in the first round of the FA Vase.

Dean Readman’s 84th-minute own goal appeared to have secured a lifeline for Mill Lane visitors Team Northumbria, cancelling out Matt Turnbull’s 44th-minute opener for the Pikes.

However, manager Jimmy Reid’s men snatched victory in the second qualifying round tie with a Liam Salt penalty two minutes from time and a Tom Fenwick goal on 90 minutes.

Selby Town crashed out 5-1 to Formby at Flaxley Road.

The sides were level at half-time after Louis Grant struck for the Robins on 37 minutes to match Formby’s seventh-minute opener by Emini Adegbenroe.

The visitors took a grip on the tie after the break with goals from Paul Speed, Jason Carey (2) and Adegbenroe.

Tadcaster Albion drew 2-2 at Staveley Miners Welfare in the Northern Counties East League premier division.

Ryan Qualter put the Brewers in front on 36 minutes, but they held the upper hand for only three minutes as Tom Jackson equalised.

Ryan Damms then put the hosts ahead on the hour, only for Ryan Williams to earn Albion a point with a goal two minutes later.

Scarborough Athletic produced a ten out of ten performance against lowly Lincoln Moorlands Railway.

Athletic cruised to a 10-0 victory over their hapless visitors thanks to a hat-trick from striker Ryan Blott and two from Tom Claisse, plus an own goal and efforts by Robert Hawkes, Peter Davison, Tom Adams and Darryl Winter.

Harrogate Town went down 3-1 at home to Oxford City in Blue Square Bet North.

Former York City player Dave Merris was the Wetherby Roaders’ goalscorer.

Harrogate Railway Athletic came from behind to beat Bamber Bridge 2-1 in the FA Trophy preliminary round.

Steve Settle put the visitors in front eight minutes into the second half, but Railway hit back through Nathan Cartman on 66 and Patrick McGuire six minutes later.
