Acomb Celtic showed no mercy to league new-boys Eggborough Rangers in a 10-1 thumping.
Veteran Ian Rankeillor came off the bench to net twice adding to braces from Lee Powell, Mark Powell and strikes from Cameron Sanderson, Mike O’Shaughnessy, Mark Benton and Kevin Scott.
Second-half goals from Ben Wilson and Josh Wigglesworth gave Tadcaster Magnets a 2-0 win at local rivals Britannia Tadcaster.
New Earswick edged out F3 1-0 thanks to Alex McKay’s goal.
James Fedyzyn opened the scoring for Bishopthorpe against Hemingbrough but Luke Zacharenko levelled before the break and Brough’s Daniel Collins got a second-half winner.
Selby Railway reached the second round after beating hosts LNER Builders 8-2, Garry Smith and Joe Mason getting the consolation goals.
Ten-man St John went down 3-1 to York Nomads, Michael Hattee, Nick Lawrie and Matt Hattee on target for the winners. Harry Hewson netted for the students.
In division one, promoted Wigginton Grasshopppers beat last year’s runners-up Hounds 5-2.
Jeremy James’ double made it 2-2 as Wigginton rued a missed penalty, but the Hoppers won it as Lee Stewart completed a fine hat-trick.
Dan Zambelli and Lee McQuade were also on target.
Skelton , with goals from Jamie Green and Bradley Clough, drew 2-2 with ten-man Severus, who replied through Chris Storey and Craig McShane.
Derwent United opened their division two account with a 7-2 win over Marcia Grey with braces from Kingsley Daffern and Dean Nuttall.
Beeswing got off to a great start against Haxby Lions with Paul Crangle netting a 20-minute hat-trick and strike partner Myron Turbine scoring a brace to lead 5-0 at the break. An own goal and an Andy Watkinson strike completed a 7-3 win.
Division three promotion favourites Albion Vaults had too much for visitors Marcia Bishopthorpe when racing into a 6-0 half-time en route to a 9-3 win. Matty Howden led the way with a hat-trick.
Visitors Selby Olympia , with a fluke goal from Dominic Welsh and a well-taken finish from Shaun Grady, led Huntington Rovers 2-1 at the break but the hosts hit back in a ding-dong second period to win 4-3.
In division four, Stuart Harrison bagged a hat-trick as Drax beat Barlby 5-2. It was level at 2-2 at half-time, but further strikes from Jordan Bradshaw, leaving the Barlby defence in disarray, and James Barrett sealed the points.
