BARBICAN ‘A’ ended the York Veterans Bowls season on a high with a 20-10 victory over Bootham ‘A’ in the final of the triples competition.
The Barbican team of Gordon Walker, Ralph Tiplady and Barry Johnson beat Bootham’s beat Bob Procter, Les Jackson and Mick Head at the Railway Institute green in Ashton Lane.
The trophies were presented by Eric Bramma, a life member and treasurer of the league.
