Open season for indoor bowlers

York and District Indoor Bowls Club are preparing for the new season by hosting an open weekend.

The event on Saturday and Sunday is designed for newcomers wanting to try out the game. Anyone interested in bowls, indoor or outdoor, is welcome to attend.

All equipment will be provided and the free sessions will take place between 10am and 3pm on both days.

Meanwhile, the club hold their annual general meeting next Thursday at 7pm.

An improved trading year will be announced, and there will also be an election for the committee with 13 candidates competing for ten places.

Those attending must have renewed their membership prior to the meeting.
