Senior Cricket League: Washed out duel gives Driffield lift

The game between the top two division four sides – Acomb and Huntington – was abandoned without a ball being bowled.

That enabled Driffield to inch within three points of Huntington after beating hosts Stillington by ten wickets.

Karl Simpson hit 68 and Barry Milburn 32 in Stillington’s 167-2, but their efforts were eclipsed when John Robinson 84no and John Woolley 78no steered Driffield to 169 without loss.
