Senior Cricket League: Patrington close to taking division five title

The battle between the top two sides in division five resulted in a high-scoring draw in favour of front runners Patrington, who are now poised to take honours in their first York season.

Marc Pollard was the day’s only centurion, notching 115 in Patrington’s 270-5.

Danny Collinson claimed 5-51 but Civil Service kept their promotion drive alive by drawing at 183-8 with Will Phelps making 47 and Darren Hanley 41.
