Frankel ridden by Toim Queally wins the Juddmonte International Stakes
FRANKEL, the world's greatest racehorse, produced an exemplary display to cruise to the Juddmonte International Stakes at York Racecourse this afternoon.
The 1-10 favourite, ridden by Tom Queally, took to his new distance of a mile-and-a-quarter with some ease - destroying Farhh by seven lengths to rack up his 13th successive win.
Any concerns whether Frankel would get the new trip were soon dispelled once Queally took the son of Galileo to the front soon into the home straight.
From there, it was a procession for the £100 million colt, with Queally barely having to extend against opposition who had claimed a host of Group 1 prizes.
A hugely appreciative York crowd, who had applauded the horse on his way to the start, roared with approval as Frankel and Queally came back into the winner's enclosure.
And as well as hosting the globe's highest rated horse, Frankel's appearance is likely to give York's attendance figures a shot in the arm - with huge crowds in both the main stands and the course enclosure turning out to catch a glimpse of the wonder horse.
Queally said: "Frankel has been a massive part of my career and I think everything from now on is going to be an anti-climax."
