Motorsport: Guy Smith eyes series win

EAST Yorkshire racer Guy Smith is in third place in the championship standings going into this weekend’s American Le Mans Series event at Road America.
Reigning champion Smith was second in the latest round of the series at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio.
Smith and American co-driver Chris Dyson finished one-lap behind title rivals Klaus Graf and Lucas Luhr, who lead the series by 16-points with four races remaining.
He said: “We will try again for that elusive win in a couple of weeks at Road America and I’m hoping we can take the fight to them.”
