Nostalgia event at Croft circuit
10:34am Thursday 2nd August 2012 in Sport
The public will be able to travel to the Croft Nostalgia event this Saturday and Sunday in a fleet of buses specially commissioned to commemorate the 100th anniversaries of three of the region’s major transport companies.
Starting from 10.30am on both days, a dozen classic buses dating from the 1930s to the ’70s and restored in period colours will provide free transport from Feethams, Darlington to the Croft circuit.
Buses will run every half hour and users may be asked for a donation towards the vehicles’ upkeep.
The Croft circuit will host a two-day treat of all things 1940s, ’50s, ’60s and ’70s, plus races.
Admission is free all weekend for accompanied children aged 15 and under with tickets for adults starting at £13 Saturday and £20 Sunday.
For more details visit www.croftcircuit.co.uk or phone 01325 721815.
