David McGurk gets shirty in York City benefit attraction

YORK City stalwart David McGurk has started a benefit match bidding war.
The long-serving centre-back is offering fans the chance to bid for limited edition signed shirts from his benefit game against Middlesbrough at Bootham Crescent on Saturday.
The shirts will be signed by McGurk and the highest bidder’s selected player.
The 11 shirts selected for auction (with their current top bids) are: David McGurk £60, Michael Ingham £100, Lanre Oyebanjo £70.75, Patrick McLaughlin £201, Matty Blair £201, Jason Walker £80, Lee Bullock £45, Scott Kerr £75, Dan Parslow £100, Michael Coulson £65, Jamie Reed £90.
McGurk has also agreed to offer one of the following named shirts to the highest bidder: Danny Blanchett, Chris Smith , Ashley Chambers , Oli Johnson, John McReady, Jamal Fyfield , Tom Platt, Jon Challinor, Chris Doig and Jonathan Smith.
The highest bid to date is £100 for Chris Smith.
Bids can be emailed, together with a name and preferred player, to richardliz@btinternet.com or fans can phone 07766 398073.
Bidders will be contacted when their offer has been surpassed. The action closes at midnight on Saturday, August 4.

Some people are lucky to have a job for ten years. With their being no mention of money going to charity i pressume this is going in his pocket??
I know lower league players do not earn great wages but they arent too bad, certainly more than me!!
