York City arrange pre-season friendly against Oldham Athletic

YORK City have arranged a pre-season friendly against Oldham Athletic.

The game will be played at Bootham Crescent on Saturday, July 21, kick off 3pm.

Should be a nice test for us..and a chance to bed any new players in..should be a good game also..

My mate's an Oldham season ticket holder so beating them will add a bit of spice for me! I saw them a couple of times last season and they didn't look like a League 1 side except when they played Chesterfield in the home leg of the semi of the Paint Trophy. They played them off the park, had all the possession but couldn't score and lost eventually.I also saw them in the FA Cup at Anfield but Liverpool stuffed them.If we are on our passing game we will suprise them.
