Great news as he is a player that ECW Gary Mills has brought on and hopefully there is much more to come from Ashley. Great news that we can bury another ghost by beating Donny in the cup. That red hot day when they relegated us has haunted me for these 8 years!

Back of the net. No mention how long for though?

This is good news. I felt Ash got better as the season progressed. He played well in both Wembley games. His run behind the Newport defence creating our second goal and of course his brilliant run into the box and half volley for the equaliser against Luton being the highlights. Hope the contract is for at least 2 years.

Great news that he's agreed a new deal. He's developing and improving all of the time and hopefully the best is yet to come from Ashley in the 2012/13 season?!

At the turn of the year, many on these pages were questioning his position in the team. Boy, didn't he prove his critics wrong!
This is great news and the start of another positive week for all associated with our wonderful club. Although I don't think all the news will be quite so rosy.

Very pleased about this - a player with rare talent and plenty of pace. Perhaps needs a little more belief in his ability, but certain elements in the Pop Stand haven't helped there - as always.

Expect Ashley may well have a top season this year.

he got an amazing amount of stick when he came on v mansfield in the play-off 1st leg, even though he injected much more pace and drive to our 2nd half display.
quietened those views with his 2 wembley performances! well done chambers.

Great news. He's going to destroy League 2 teams as there's less hoof ball merchants and more footballing teams. That's when we show what we can do.

Good news, he got better as the season went on and proved many doubters wrong (including myself). With the last seasons confidence and the extra experience I feel he could really be a force in the coming season.

If signed a 2 year deal that's great, top player and when confident is unplayable,

Very good news, it was beginning to get worrying waiting for him and others to start agreeing terms. It shows how well Chambers has done since around the turn of the year that everyone is saying this is good news- in the early part of last season, particularly when we went through that rotten period culminating in the loss at Tamworth, just about everyone was saying Chambers wasn't good enough and some were furious Mills kept selecting him. But Mills' faith in him allowed him to find his feet, change peoples opinions (including mine) meaning that now everyone believes, rightly, that this is good news. Heres to hoping that he gets us a few more goals and terrifies some opposition defenders in the football league!

Brilliant, just needs to work on his composure in front of goal and he will then potentially be a Championship player, hopefully with City.
Not everyone on here doubted his ability, most likely it was the mainstanders who even criticised Brodie when he made a mistake or missed with a shot the season he got 30 odd goals!

Great News ,Very much a confidence player produced it when it mattered the most .Will this mean Coulson wont be signed or alternatively it would keep matty and Ash on their toes if he does.

At last some genuine good news about the team, but how typical of YEP to only tell us haf the story - all the had to do, to make thios report complete was add the words "two year" between 'new' and 'contract' in the first line. I am delighted about this, the more so since I have questioned Chambers's ability, over the season just finished - especially after he missed the penalty against Kiddy (which he never looked like converting!). But what a revelation he's been since March, growing in self-confidence with each game.

I've never doubted chambers, he's always been a credit to the club. I've certainly never understood the stick he got from the pop stand last season, its embarressing. When a player makes a mistake the worst thing you can do is berate them for it - that's what the away fans are for! Here's to a bouncing atmosphere week in week out at BC next season, it spurs the players on and makes for a good day out. Grumble at the away team instead if you really must! Anyway, well done to Ashley and well done to mills.
