Judo club celebrates 65th anniversary

YORK’S Old Priory Judo Club celebrated its 65th anniversary in style.

The club held a dinner at the Royal York Hotel to mark the anniversary and to present its rising stars with trophies and awards.

Since its establishment in 1947, the club has gone from strength to strength, and has recently obtained new premises in Osbaldwick.

It caters for anyone from the age of five upwards, and is run by dedicated volunteers who love the sport.
