Angling: Record-breaker Rooke tops field

PAULINE ROOKE broke the Laybourne Lakes record in winning the York & District Amalgamation of Anglers Veterans’ Spring Match.
Rooke topped the under-70s section of the match on Marley Pool by a wide margin with 140lb 4oz from peg 51.
Pete Webster was second with 94lbs 4oz.
The over-70s section was won by D Findley with 52lb 15oz.
