YORK City forward Matty Blair was today named Blue Square Bet Premier player of the month for April and the play-offs.

Blair has been rewarded for an incredible run of goalscoring form as the Minstermen won the FA Trophy and clinched promotion back to the Football League.

Having netted the play-off semi-final winner against Mansfield to send City to Wembley, he struck the first goal in the FA Trophy final and then the winner against Luton Town in the promotion final.
