TRY star Leigh Rientoul touched down seven times as York Acorn ‘A’ toppled city rivals York Lokomotive 54-10 in group three of the Yorkshire Men’s Rugby League.

Full-back Rientoul was one of several Blue and Golds first- teamers pressed into action at New Lane and the BARLA Great Britain Under-23 international showed his class as the visitors ran away with the game in the second period.

Acorn’s other tries came from Thomas Mackley, winger Eddie Clapham and second-row Carl Loft.

Anthony Chilton kicked six goals and Clapham added another two-pointer to the total.

Lokos, playing only their second game of the season, went toe-to-toe with their visitors in the early stages.

Josh Mann touched down to give them the lead and Tom Storey converted.

Acorn then scored their first touchdown, but Lokos responded with a score from Tyler Dawson.

Rientoul then took over and Acorn led 22-10 at half-time before pulling clear after the break.
