CITY of York Athletics Club star Scott Lincoln finished second in the shot put on his latest under-20 international appearance for England in Sweden.
The 18-year-old threw 17.60 metres – just short of his personal best – in the international match at the Slottsskogsvallen stadium in Gothenburg.
Paul Wilson, City of York Athletics Club’s throws coach, said: “It was a great achievement in his first international abroad.
“This weekend he will compete in Cudworth at the Yorkshire County Championships, where he hopes to break the championship record.”
