York City will face Luton Town in play-off final at Wembley

LUTON Town survived a second-half scare to book a Blue Square Bet Premier play-off final date with York City at Wembley Stadium on Sunday, May 20.

The Hatters took a 2-0 lead into the second leg of their semi-final against Wrexham at the Racecourse Ground, and they forged 3-0 ahead on aggregate with a 25th minute penalty from George Pilkington.

However, Wrexham made them sweat with two goals in 14 second-half minutes from Adrian Cieslewicz and Andy Morrell.

Well done City. 2 trips to Wembley is very impressive. Glad football triumphed over Mansfield's very physical approach over 2 games. You were fated to play old foes Luton again. (York-based Mariner).

You really do need to move on mate .

We will do our talking on the pitch.

Personally I am looking forward to reading the slop you post in your vile forum ''Luscum outlaws'' on Monday 21st may.

Enjoy the next decade in this ''tinpot'' league.

When we beat you this time please go home quietly and don't disgrace your club and town again.

I expect Luton to bring around 50 thousand fans. That's a lot and reminiscence of Oxford having the advantage because of their numbers. However, the difference this time is Gary Mills will use it to lift the players "lets go into the lions den and show them who's in charge etc" unlike Foyle who was very downbeat about York's support. Also we know Luton fans can turn on their own team if things aren't going according to their inflated expectations so their numbers could work against them. GM knows that and will go at them from the off to silence the crowd.

I only hope you are correct and we go at them from the start just like we did during the league game at BC. The major advantage this year is that we have a warm up match first before the big one and hopefully this will help the players concur any nerves that playing at Wembley has to offer.

Wouldn't it be nice just to go to wembley and beat Luton on football ability alone, no need for all the nonsense from so called fans. Cmon City this is our time

The atmosphere at Wembley ain't that intimidating. Most of their floating fans will be watching the match whilst consumsuming their packed lunch. Against Oxford we were just poor - simple as - we froze and it was 2 nil before we had a kick. Millsy's side is different......

I only hope this time we dont treat it like another game as we did last time. They need an overnight in a hotel. Against oxford we travelled on the day of the game and were still on the bus and 2-0 down before we woke up. Im looking forward to a football match not all the crap thats gone on in the past its all water under the bridge whoever wins (hopefully us) lets hope its an advert for football and not crimewatch.

Hopefully it is about the football, Luton are certainly playing some good stuff in the last few games. 4 weeks ago I would have said Luton would have struggled but under Buckle they are starting to look decent. The ticket allocation to Luton is 21,000 - so clearly the authorities haven't learnt from our last trip to Wembley when we got 47,000 and sold those out quickly, only to be told we couldn't have any more due to the seating patterns. The FA must be the only organisation in the world that would prefer to have a 25% empty Wembley instead of making a profit on the potential ticket sales.
