Matty Blair sends York City into Blue Square Bet Premier play-off final

GOAL hero Matty Blair struck in extra time to send York City to Wembley in the Blue Square Bet Premier play-off final.

The Minstermen's semi-final against Mansfield Town appeared to be heading for penalties at 1-1 on aggregate when Blair bagged the winning goal with nine minutes remaining.

A minute later the Stags had defender Ritchie Sutton sent off for a second bookable offence and City managed to hang on.

York now face a Wembley double header, taking on Newport County in the final of the FA Trophy this Saturday before facing Luton Town or Wrexham in the play-off final on Sunday, May 20.
