Season finale support favoured for semi-final sales
9:30am Saturday 28th April 2012 in Sport
YORK City fans attending today’s home match with Forest Green (1pm) will be given preferential treatment when tickets go on sale for next week’s Blue Square Bet Premier play-off semi-final first leg home clash.
Supporters who are not season-ticket holders will be able to buy their play-off ticket from 10am to 6pm on Tuesday if they present their match ticket from today’s game.
The tickets will go on sale to season-ticket holders a day earlier – on Monday – between the same times, while the general public will be able to get their tickets from 10am on Wednesday.
Should City finish fourth after today’s final day of the regulation season, they will tackle Mansfield at home on Wednesday in the play-off semi-final first leg. If they finish fifth, they will entertain Wrexham on Thursday. Both games would kick off at 7.30pm.
Meanwhile, City have sold 6,100 tickets for the club’s FA Trophy final clash against Newport County at Wembley on Saturday, May 12.
The Welsh team had sold 12,000 at the last count.
