Underdogs Sherburn Bears will be gunning for final glee as they go to Farnley Eagles in the semi-finals of the Pennine League’s Supplementary Cup (2pm).

Farnley are sitting third in division five, with Sherburn third in division six, but the Bears have already knocked out two sides from the division above. They last reached the final two seasons ago.

Promotion hopefuls Selby Warriors go to mid-table Boothtown Terriers in Pennine division two a little more refreshed after last week’s 30-0 walk-over which came as West Bowling ‘A’ could not raise a side.

Promotion-seeking Selby Warriors ‘A’ host lowly Greetland All Rounders ‘A’ in division seven.

New Earswick ‘A’ – whose first team have no game as scheduled opponents Keighley play a President’s Cup quarter-final – visit Drighlington ‘A’ in division four.

Dec Malarkey is doubtful following a back injury picked up in last week’s win at Wibsey. Prop Kayle Lawson will have a fitness test after also coming off that day, but coach Alan Pallister hopes to field a strong side to continue the team’s recent run of just one defeat in five matches – one being a convincing 38-10 win over Drig when the sides last meet.
