YORK City have been forced to postpone the FA Trophy third round tie against Ebbsfleet United for the second time in four days.
The game was postponed on Saturday due to a frozen pitch and, having rearranged the game for tomorrow night, Minstermen officials have called the game off again due to a snow covered surface and public safety concerns.
The tie has been rescheduled for Tuesday, February 14 (7.45pm).
The winners of the tie will travel to either Bath City or Grimsby Town in the next round.

Ooh, a nice valentines day game for a poor attendance.....

To be fair to Ebbsfleet, i remember many occasions when York have complained about the same thing. It must be pretty annoying.

The threat of more postponements is turning me into a proper weather anorak! YCFC withdrawal symptoms starting to show..... Met Office 5 day forecast suggests that overnight temperatures are nudging above freezing at the end of the week, but will it be enough to thaw ground frozen for days on end? Here's hoping they've got some good covers, or failing that tropical breezes at Cleethorpes (unlikely I know). Cue cr@p jokes about Michael Fish and Grimsby.

For those of you looking to the YEP website to see whether Saturday's game was on or off you will, if you looked hard enough, have got helpful information from regular City-following posters. YEP lets us know the game's postponed on Monday...do its reporters send their 'news' in to the newsroom by second class post? Invest in some carrier pigeons maybe? Or just walk from Bootham Crescent to Walmgate that might be quicker. Amazingly though on the same day the paper manages to forewarn us that Tuesday's rearranged fixture is probably also off. I only come on this site to hear the up to date and informed and usually entertaining views of fellow posters - why else would you?
