TREVOR SCOTT topped a field of 23 anglers at the latest Raker Lakes contest in York.
The Bob-Co Leeds rod, fishing at peg six on Horseshoe lake, scaled 47lb 1oz of carp and chub caught on double caster fishing at 16 metres over loose-fed caster.
John Cosgrove, of Raker Lakes York, took second place from peg 18 with a net of 33lb 10oz, made up of carp and chub.
He fished at 18m using floating pole to the far bank with double caster over potted-in casters.
Third place went to Danny Scott, of Bob-Co Leeds, with 28lb 12oz of carp and skimmers, while Leeds’ Oliver Hewitt was fourth with 25lb 10oz.
Byron Dell, of Leeds, was fifth on 12lb 14oz and fellow Leeds angler Geoff Craine was sixth with 12lb 09oz.
Meanwhile, Selby’s D Young won round three of the Acomb Tackle-sponsored York Winter League on the Ouse, which had about two foot of extra water and was coloured.
Of the 48 anglers who fished below York, Young bagged 8lb and 8oz of two bream and a roach using feeder worm.
Second was Leeds Angling Centre’s C Hardy with 7-03 of two bream and one skimmer, again using worm feeder.
