York St John missed the chance to close the gap on York Minster Engineering Football League Reserve ‘A’ leaders Dunnington as they lost 2-1 at Wigginton.

Ben Thompson hit both Grasshoppers goals with Josh Hind replying.

Copmanthorpe, courtesy of a Josh Levitt goal, won 1-0 at Bishopthorpe to leapfrog into second place.

A strong Easingwold side eased their relegation worries with a 5-3 home win over Huntington.

Runaway reserve ‘C’ leaders York RI vanquished St Clement’s 7-1 with goals from Lee Dutton (3), Luke Richardson (2), Dave McNichol and Danny Wood.

Matthew Thackray hit the only goal of the game as Crayke won 1-0 at Stamford Bridge.

Malton & Norton collected their fourth clean sheet on the trot as they beat Hemingbrough 1-0, Nigel Allen getting the all important goal. The top-of-the-table clash in reserve ‘D’ went in favour of hosts Civil Service despite visitors Cliffe going in front through an own goal and a Dan Collins strike.

The home side responded with goals from Carl Barker, Sam Wood – scoring for the seventh game on the trot – Craig Coates and Josh Young.
