THIRD-PLACED Post Office toppled division one leaders Malton & Norton 2-1 in the York Minster Engineering Football League.

Malton & Norton went into the game on the back on a seven-match unbeaten run, but they fell behind to a goal from Michael Heels, the division’s top scorer.

Brian Howe hit an equaliser for Malton & Norton, but the Ryedale side lost top spot as Post Office’s Jamie Bonarious struck home a penalty three minutes from time.

The new leaders are York RI, who triumphed 5-1 at home to Amotherby thanks to a second-half hat-trick from Luke Richardson.

Nick Hutchinson and Carl Shepherd added the remaining home goals, with Christian Wilkinson replying for Amotherby.

Two goals each from Andy Walker and Jamie Perkins helped Tockwith to a 5-1 win at Thorpe.

Bishopthorpe ended a run of ten away fixtures without a win as Joe Gardham scored the only goal of the game at Pocklington.

Easingwold registered their first win over Ouseburn in nine attempts as they won 6-1 with goals from Matthew Hawkhead (2), Dave Adams (2), Billy Gregory and Andrew Metcalfe junior.

A brace from Hemingbrough’s Luke Zacharenko could not prevent his side losing 4-2 at Nestlé.

Carl Stewart scored twice in the opening 15 minutes for Nestlé and they added further goals from Terry Taylor and Pat Noon.

The bottom three in division two all collected points, including a first win of the season for Osbaldwick at the 13th attempt.

Nick Lawrie scored the first three Osbaldwick goals and, though visitors White Horse hit back with a goal apiece from John Marshall and Rob McQuarry, Aaron Kirby made it 4-2 to Osbaldwick.

Scott Dixon scored twice in Huby’s 2-0 home win over Elvington.

Fulford drew 1-1 with Heslington. Danny Walters’ goal was cancelled out by Fulford’s Paul Gordon.

Scott Nicholas (2), Danny Peace and Kenny Sharman shared the St Clement’s plunder in a 4-1 home win over Rufforth.

Division three leaders Strensall extended their unbeaten run to 13 matches with a 4-2 home win over Stillington. Gary Humphries gave Stillington the lead, but Strensall hit back with goals from Mick Pipe, John Cooper, Chris Cooper and Liam Winfield in the space of 12 minutes. Paul Holmes scored late on for the visitors.

Third-placed Crayke trailed 3-1 at second-placed Cliffe with less than ten minutes to go.

However, two goals from James Molverley inspired Crayke to a 4-3 win. Julian Todd hit the winner two minutes from time. The Cliffe goals came from Dave Evans, Tom Hogg and Billy Ayton, with Ian Dawson hitting Crayke’s opener.

Civil Service trailed to an Adam Holland goal at LNER Builders, but won 3-1 with goals from Will Wood, Sam Wood and Ben Ambler.

Kev Barkworth scored both Bishop Wilton goals in a 2-1 home win over Melbourne.

James Simpson scored twice for Selby Olympia as they lost 4-2 at home to F1 Racing, while Shaun Webster scored a brace for Barmby Moor in a 3-2 win at Moor Lane.
