Harrogate Town’s Blue Square North survival could hinge on them getting positive results in the next two games.
Basement side Town host third bottom Gainsborough Trinity at the CNG Stadium tomorrow, with a trip to second bottom Vauxhall Motors to follow on Tuesday.
With Town trailing Trinity by four points, and Vauxhall by three, a good return is essential if they are to beat the drop. They put in an improved performance at Blyth in midweek but still returned from Croft Park nursing a 1-0 defeat.
Chris McCabe’s 71st-minute goal and Vauxhall’s surprise win against Ilkeston Town pushed the Wetherby Roaders to the bottom of the pile.
Harrogate Railway, fresh from a morale boosting 3-1 win over Woodley Sports, have a much tougher test in the form of derby rivals Halifax Town in UniBond League division one.
Halifax, third in the table, have lost just once all season while Railway have mined three points on just four occasions.
