FITNESS checks will be run on three key players before Leeds United settle on the formation they hope will take them to Wembley.
Leeds head north to Carlisle United tonight trailing 2-1 from the first leg of the Johnstone’s Paints Trophy northern final. The incentive is the national final at Wembley against either Southampton or MK Dons.
Newly-added to the walking wounded is 24-goal ace Jermaine Beckford, who did not reappear for the second half of Leeds’ 2-2 draw at Hartlepool on Saturday.
Manager Simon Grayson said Beckford was replaced at half-time as a precaution after the front-man suffered a hamstring strain.
Defender Paddy Kisnorbo (calf) and midfielder Neil Kilkenny (ankle) are also doubts for tonight’s tie.
