Free-scoring York St John University moved to the top of York Minster Engineering Football League reserve ‘A’ after hammering Haxby United 9-2.
The students’ tally included a hat-trick from Josh Hind and a brace from James Sharp.
The result was Haxby’s heaviest defeat since December 2005, when they also lost 9-2 at York St John.
Copmanthorpe extended their unbeaten away run to nine games after goals from Simon Hughes, Andrew Manns and Jake Moyes gave them a 3-1 win at Wilberfoss.
Ian Capelman scored ’Foss’ goal. Nick Robinson scored both Dunnington goals in a 2-0 win over Hamilton Panthers.
Jordan Cornelly was the match-winner as Dringhouses won 1-0 at Huntington.
Greg Fitzmaurice and Dave Allinson (2) earned Bishopthorpe a 3-0 success at Wigginton.
It was a good day for reserve ‘B’ leaders Thorpe – and they did not even play.

Hosts Nestlé hit back to draw 3-3 with Bishop Wilton, despite being reduced to ten men and trailing 3-0.
Bishop Wilton led thanks to two goals from Darren Outerson and one by Mike Langley. However, Eric Balderstone added to a Chris Howell brace to earn Nestlé a point.
