MAN-of-the-match Shaun Day spearheaded a 7-1 victory for York’s Clifton Hotel at home to division two leaders Yeadon Constitutional Club in the Yorkshire Darts Super League.

Day recorded legs of 18 and 16 darts and returned a three-dart average of 75.15 in his 3-0 win.

Steve Evans won his match 3-1, including a 21-dart leg and an average of 67.89.

Andy Rennie whitewashed his opponent 3-0, averaging 54.33.

Keith Turner was a 3-1 winner, with legs of 16, 19 and 20 darts and a 65.34 average.

Barry Noble was edged out 3-2 in his match, despite averaging more than his opponent (69.87).

Dave Gibbons won 3-2, Neil Hart triumphed 3-0 and Steve Atkin won 3-1, including a 136 finish.
