Nestlé Rowntree RUFC were unable to hang on to a lead as they lost 15-13 at Hornsea Seconds.
’Trees started brightly with lively scrum-half Jack Daniels scooting over for an early try, but Hornsea levelled when their left winger went over in the corner.
A planned penalty move put Nestlé back in front as centre Mike Winfield dived over in the corner, but Hornsea again levelled when their centre scored a long-range try close to half-time.
Fly-half Ryan Bushell gave ’Trees the lead for a third time with a drop goal midway through the second half, but Hornsea scored a third try before a late drop goal attempt by Bushell sailed agonisingly wide.
