Ace arrows from Slip ‘B’ prove too hot for Nelson in York John Smith’s Ladies Darts League

SLIP ‘B’s Babs Harrison gamed 22 in her singles, then partnered Clair Boyce, to seal victory at Nelson by the meanest margin in their York John Smith’s Ladies Darts League division one clash.

Clair Cooper closed 70 for Slip and Lianne Hodkinson hit the tons for Nelson.

Cygnet’s Dawn Exton closed a two-dart 93 (treble 19, double 18) as they were prevented a clean sheet by Ox’s Sue Tate, who won the opening leg.

Bev Harton (140) and Angie Hields (140) combined to secure victory in 21 darts for leaders Cueball at Slip ‘A’ after Hields and Jayne Janes had hit the big scores in their singles.

Anita Adams included a score of 171 in her 23-darter to inspire division two front-runners Slipper to a 6-3 result at Shoulder.

Severus hold on to second place by just two points. Tramways reinforced their position with a 6-3 victory, which was inspired by some top scoring from Lynn Richford.

Leslie George and Michelle Kelly were Seahorse ‘A’s match-winners at Woolpack.

Division three leaders Cueball ‘A’ shot into a match-winning 5-0 advantage before Tap’s Sam Lewis registered a point. Lewis joined Jeanette Robinson to double Tap’s tally.

Jackie Clemit checked 83 in the pairs with Maureen Ferguson, but Flag ‘B’ had already been lowered as St Paul’s Emma Wheatley and Pauline Hardy sealed the victory.

Shepherd ‘A’ won by the smallest margin at Leeman ‘B’.

With Walnut Tree having a free week, Seahorse ‘B’ took advantage to leap into top place with a 7-2 victory against Swan.

Shepherd ‘B’ slip into second despite an 8-3 win against visitors Red Lion, whose Kerry Humble starred.

Acomb fell by the same margin despite three ton-plus scores from Donna Embleton.

Leeman ‘A’ had double-ton scorers in Margaret Yeomans, Debbie Witts and Christina Waddington.
