THE York Senior Cricket League Joe Lumb XI were again thwarted by the weather when their game against leaders Bradford at Clifton Alliance was abandoned with the pitch waterlogged.
In a game reduced to 33 overs per side due to a delayed start, Bradford were 106-6 after 26 overs when rain stopped play for the second time.
Scott Douglas was going well with 43 until Thirsk youngster Ryan McKendry claimed his wicket during a fine spell of 2-22 in seven overs.
He was well supported by Jake Murphy, Tom Atkinson and Ben England, who all took a wicket each.
The result means that York are unable to qualify for the play-offs, even if they beat Sheffield in their final match at Sessay on Sunday.
