Hope all goes well for you Adam. Why do the fees have to be undisclosed, never quite understood that. Oh well. Hopefully we can use the money to bring someone in.

It makes sense so other clubs don't know how much we got.

If we eventually put a bid in for another striker they can't base their asking price on what we got for Boyes because they won't know what we have to spend although I think everyone knows we bid 80k for Gash and Charles now...

Good luck at Scunny Adam, i'm sure with the right coaching and time to learn in the reserves you'll have a good career in football.

Maybe we have room for more than one more signing now with a current squad of only 19 including Emmerson who may be loaned out and Russell who I'd have thought will be offloaded..

Yes lets hope that this is a good deal for both the player and York City. Adam Boyes will be given the time to improve, without the pressures of first team football, and City will get some welcome cash. Although I expect it will be paid in installments, I hope that some of the cash will be used to bring in a proven goalscorer. After the euphoria surrounding the failed signings of Charles/Gash, its gone a bit quite at the Crescent.

Well as usual we play the stand up good guy & not stand in the way of a promising young footballers career I just hope the board got a good deal for the club. Hopefully we will get a better player than Dan McBreen & I really hope our club scouts can keep finding the likes of Brodie & Woolford as they have been highlights of the last couple of seasons. Good look to the Lad in his career & I hope he will visit the club & encourage the youngsters. Gone maybe a season too soon but Scunny seem to have a plan.

Shame to lose a clearly talented player before we've had a chance to see the best of him, but the move is right for both Boyes and York City at this present time.

It will be interesting to see who the trialists are who are set to feature on Sunday against Leeds United, as well as having a look at the plethora of new faces.

Every season some of the signings don't always pan out the way the manager had hoped - I wonder who will be this year's Phil Turnbull or Ben Wilkinson.
