IT was déjà vu for Nestlé Rowntree RUFC as for the second week in a row they found themselves facing a side one grade higher than arranged – this time losing 49-11 at Northallerton seconds.
’Trees started terribly, conceding a try straight from the kick off but they levelled when flanker Mark Arnold drove over from close range.
Northallerton added three more tries with Nestlé replying with a Ryan Bushall drop goal and a John Atkin penalty to trail 24-11 at half-time.
Rowntree’s worst season for injuries continued when they lost three players, including Graham Daniels and his son Jack at the start of the second period.
They played a man short and defended well before being run off their feet in the final quarter.
