STRUGGLING Tockwith were blitzed by leaders Hamilton Panthers in the premier division of the Leeper Hare York & District Football League.

Panthers raced into a 3-0 lead in the opening 20 minutes thanks to Craig Atkinson’s opener and two from Mark Woodward.

Jamie Perkins pulled a goal back just before the break, but a Jimmy Clamp lob made it 4-1.

Old Malton’s title aspirations took a knock at York St John University as they lost 2-1 – their first defeat in eight games.

After a goalless first half, Lee Bartle put St John in front with a penalty and Alex Dixon doubled the lead four minutes later.

Dave Bell hit a late consolation for the Ryedale side.

Kartiers notched a third successive win as they beat Wilberfoss 4-2 with goals from Andrew Woodall, Mike Braithwaite, Jamie Barrett and Gareth Roberts. Danny Johns got two for ’Foss.

Two goals from Nicky Drew helped Malton & Norton record their first away win of the season – a 2-1 success at Copmanthorpe.

Terry Hibbert replied for the hosts.

A fortuitous mis-hit from Huntington’s Chris Dyson put his side in front at Dunnington and Danny Franks made it 2-0 when he latched onto a perfect through ball from Pete Laidlaw.

Chris Burgess reduced the arrears early in the second half, but the visitors held on to extend their unbeaten away run to five.

Poppleton and Dringhouses are still without a win this year after drawing 1-1. Jamie Green put Dringhouses in front, but this was cancelled out by a Jon Beech penalty.

Despite taking the lead twice, Wigginton had to settle for a 2-2 draw with visitors Tate & Lyle.

Mark Scoreby and Tom Matthews scored for the hosts, with Dave Reasbeck and Daniel Rhodes replying for the Selby side.

The top of the table clash in division one finished all-square as Riccall drew 1-1 at Thorpe. Andy Northern’s opener for Riccall was cancelled out by Craig Whiteley.

Rufforth won 3-1 at Tadcaster with a single strike from Mark Atkinson and two goals from Graham Rae. Tom Lendle replied.

The Nestlé revival continued as they drew 0-0 at Easingwold – their fifth game without a defeat.

Pocklington crashed to a 7-3 defeat at York RI.

Nick Hutchinson hit four of the RI goals to add contributions from Shaun Stockdale, Lee Dutton and Luke Richardson.

Basement side Norwich Union are still looking for their first away win of the season, but the insurance side are having no luck.

Their 4-3 defeat at Bishopthorpe was the third time they have lost by the odd goal in seven in their last four away trips.

George Matthews (2), Tom Green and Richard Law scored for Bish, while Roger Osbourne and brothers James and Richard Robinson netted for Norwich Union.
