Farrell leads from front for York City reserves

York Press: Craig Farrell Craig Farrell

CRAIG Farrell heads a strong York City seconds’ side which aims to end Huddersfield Town’s perfect record in the totesport.com Reserve League at KitKat Crescent tonight (kick-off 7pm).

The 25-year-old striker will be up front with Adam Boyes in a team which also includes first-teamers Darren Kelly, Ben Wilkinson and Steven Hogg.

Midfielder Gavin Rothery gets another run out, while Niall Henderson – who has found a starting spot elusive in recent weeks – is also in the team.

Huddersfield Town are the league leaders, having won all six of their matches this season, scoring 21 goals in the process.

Season ticket holders get in free, with admission for everyone else priced at £4 for adults (£2 concessions).

The social club will be open from 6pm.

City reserves: Mimms, Hirst, McWilliams, Kelly, Hogg, Rothery, Henderson, Wilkinson, Shepherd, Boyes, Farrell. Subs: McDonald, Burns, Parker, Emmerson, Woodall, Brown, Knowlson.

Only 3 defenders! Should be a few goals both ends and our team looks pretty strong. Wouldn't mind seeing them play the 'first' 11.
Come on Col, 4:4:2 on Saturday please and everyone in their best position (ie Greaves not in midfield!). Torquay are best of a bad crop this season but we should beat them at home.

I thought Dyer would have been having a run out tonight to build up his match fitness.

Yes, I'm surprised he's not giving Dyer 45 minutes to build up match fitness.

Don't agree with PeterB on formation; 442 doesn't work for us, we don't have the personnel.
532 is the best use of the players we have.
