City land Millers midfielder

First published in Sport

FORMER Luton Town midfielder Peter Holmes has joined York City in a one-month loan deal.

Holmes, 27, is currently on Rotherham United's books, but has made just one substitute appearance for the League Two outfit this season.

City boss Colin Walker plans to hand Holmes his full debut in Tuesday night's Blue Square Premier away match at Kidderminster.

Holmes is a left-sided player, exactly what we lack. This is a good, and much needed, acquisition.
