YORK RUFC have no fewer than eight local derbies to look forward to next season in North One East.

Games against Driffield bookend the 26 fixtures, with the first coming away from home on Saturday, September 1 and the season closer on April, 13.

The Clifton Park outfit won promotion from Yorkshire One last season as they swept to the title in style, losing only three games and beating a 36-year-old record with 15 consecutive wins at the start of the campaign.

Joining them in the division are North Yorkshire rivals Scarborough who finished last year's Yorkshire One term in second place as well as Pocklington, who were relegated bottom of North Premier.

York's first derby fixture will be at the Gannock against Malton & Norton on September 29 and, on December 9, they will make the trip to Bridlington. The reverse fixture against Malt is scheduled for January 19 and the date for Brid's visit to Clifton Park is March 30.

The visit to Scarborough has been set for October 20, and the Seasiders' trip to York is slated for February 9.

Pocklington are the last of the local teams York will come across, with Pock heading to Clifton Park on December 8 and York going to Percy Road on April 6.

All fixtures are on Saturdays.
