Poppleton won their first points in division two as they overcame Castlegarth, but then went on to lose to table-toppers Fulford 66-42.

Rufforth enjoyed a comfortable 75-33 win against Castlegarth, while Starbeck defeated Pocklington 66-42.

Win-less Bubwith fell to a 74-34 defeat against Copmanthorpe, for whom Maggie Zhang and Laura Simpson included two maximum scores in their three rubbers.

Heworth beat promotion rivals Wigginton 62-46 to go top of division four, while Cliffe edged a 56-52 win over Tollerton.

Laura Robson and Sandra Robinson bagged 26 games as Rowntree Park scraped past Riccall by the same scoreline.

In division five, David Lloyd 3 captain Suzanne Straw and Michelle Cossey bagged 21 games in a 63-45 defeat of Copmanthorpe.

Leaders Wilberfoss saw Gerry Screeton and Caz MacKender score 32 games in their 75-33 win over Poppleton 2.

Fulford beat Poppleton 3 64-44.

In division six, Cawood closed the gap on table-toppers Dunnington, with Lorraine Bishop and Lorna Pope taking 26 games in their 61-47 victory.

Emma Whiting and Wendy Farnell impressed for Rufforth, who dispatched York 3 73-35.
