YORK White Rose Ladies Darts League leaders Clarence recovered from losing their first game at White Horse to triumph 6-1.

Clarence's Jayne Cain (100), Tracey Watkinson, Anita Redpath and Carol Sykes Walker completed a clean sweep of all the remaining games to wrap up the win.

There was a 5-2 home victory, meanwhile, for New York over Ebor.

The first two games were shared, before Den Fahey, Maureen Tindall, Rosie Blower (126) and Irene Taylor moved New York 5-1 clear.

Ebor’s Roz Kerr reduced the deficit by winning the very last match.

Indoor Bowls were 4-3 winners at King William despite the hosts drawing first blood.

Lesley Benson (112), Elaine Bell, Pam Husband and Monika Geller then led the fight back by taking the next two pairs’ games.

King William’s Teresa Walker won her singles’ game to make it all-square at 2-2, but Indoor Bowls then gained an unassailable lead that Carol Atkinson reduced with a last-game success.

Angie Hurst, Val McKenzie, Jean Hussein and Pat Hurst ensured Holgate won the first three games of their 4-3 triumph over New Earswick Bowls Club.

After Earswick restored parity, Angie Hurst then clinched the last game to decide matters.

Acomb Sports were also 4-3 home victors against Burton Lane Club, despite being pegged back after leading 2-0 and 3-2.

Christine Hedley (117) made it 3-3 after Barbara O’Donnell had nudged Acomb back in front again, but Anne Bryszkienski eventually sealed the win.
