TRACEY FARMEARY closed on 135 for a 24-dart leg as she and Zoey Chadwick reached the board four final in the York John Smith’s Ladies' League Elsie Bell Drawn Pairs competition.

Chadwick had set the tone with a 103 in that victory over Emma Frankland and Angela Fletcher.

The pair went on to beat Linda Turgoose/Sue Tate in a tight final. It could have gone either way before ending on double one.

Turgoose had earlier closed on 94 as she and Tate went through against Cara Britton and Kirsty Limbert.

Doreen Johnstone fired a 100 checkout as she and Linda Staveley won the board one final.

In the heats, Dawn Exton had closed on 79 to win the deciding leg with Sarah Evans against Tina Platt/Alice Turgoose before winning a close battle against Jody Hancock/Anthea Jamieson.

Meanwhile, Johnstone/Staveley had benefitted from a lucky escape against Natalie Bosworth/Karen Alton, who could not buy a finish despite leading by 200.

Board two saw Wendy Storr/Lisa Benton beat Sandra Flintoft/Donna Lynes in the final.

Storr/Benton had earlier won a thrilling game 2-1 against Jayne Janes/Elaine Metcalfe with a double-nine finish in the decider. Both sets of players had missed chances before Storr's dart secured victory.

In the final, Storr hit the tons and Benton provided the doubles for a 2-0 result.

Di Moreland/Rose Gray were board three winners after beating Linda Penrose/Lisa Russell in the final with a 10 followed by a double-nine finish.

Penrose/Russell had earlier won a great tussle against Becky Thompson/Julie Stables, a 60 finish sealing victory in the decider.
