THE Hunters T20 Blast returns on Sunday, with four grounds to host a full day of cricket action.
The 12 Yorkshire Premier League North sides have been divided into four groups of three teams who will all play each other over the course of the day.
Each of the group’s opening fixtures will start at 10am. The structure of the day is that the host side will play one of the visitors, whereupon the loser will play the other visitor. The winner from that game will play the winner from the first, and the winner there will progress to a local semi-finals and finals day with the other three group winners from Sunday. The winner of the final will be entered into the next national round.
Woodhouse Grange, in Group ‘A’, will welcome Clifton Alliance and Sessay to their Sandhill Lane ground outside Sutton upon Derwent where they will showcase their new blue and red T20 kit, provided by JWS Accountants.
A full day of festivities is planned, with the bar open from 10am alongside an all-day barbecue, ice cream stall and auction, including a signed Ashes shirt donated by Yorkshire and England batsman, Gary Ballance.
Stamford Bridge host Acomb and Scarborough in Group ‘B’, Harrogate host Driffield Town and Yorkshire Academy, and York host Sheriff Hutton Bridge and Castleford.
