DAVID Willey and Adam Lyth scored stunning centuries as Yorkshire set Lancashire an imposing target of 380 in today’s Royal London One-Day Cup clash at Emirates Old Trafford.

In a must-win North Group game for the Vikings, Willey smashed 131 off 95 balls and Lyth a career-best 144 off 132 in their 379-7.

It was their highest-ever List A score against another county.

In 2004, they scored 411-6 against Devon at Exmouth.

The pair shared a record partnership of 235 for the second wicket to advance from 12-1.

It was Yorkshire’s highest ever second-wicket stand, the highest for any wicket by either side in Roses List A cricket and Yorkshire’s third-highest partnership ever.

Lancashire, defending a short boundary towards the Stretford side of Old Trafford, did not help themselves as they dropped a handful of catches, including Lyth on 117 and 127, and conceded the most they have ever done in a List A innings.
