YORKSHIRE will require 294 to beat Leicestershire in today’s Royal London One-Day Cup match at the Fischer County Ground, Grace Road.
After being invited to field first, Matthew Fisher claimed three wickets in his first appearance of the season in the hosts’ 293-9, while Ben Coad and Adil Rashid took two wickets apiece for the Vikings.
The Foxes slipped to 39-3 inside 10 overs before recovering to 167-3 inside 30 thanks to fourth-wicket pair Mark Cosgrove and Ned Eckersley.
Cosgrove top-scored 84 off 88 balls and Eckersley hit 50.
Fisher struck with his third ball of the season when he had Cameron Delport lbw in the second over of the game before getting Paul Horton caught at mid-off and tail-ender Richard Jones caught behind off a top-edge.
Neil Dexter then ensured Leicester weren’t bowled out, having slipped to 199-6 in the 37th over, with 50 not out, which he reached off the last ball of the innings.
