PADDY MILLER has rejoined Tadcaster Albion as one of six players to have put pen to paper for the 2017/18 season.

The former Brewers captain joins from Hyde United where he opted not to renew his contract due to the travelling becoming “unsustainable”.

Miller will be joined on making the switch from Ewen Fields to the i2i Stadium by 22-year-old York City youth team centre-back Harry Coates.

Boss Michael Morton is pleased to have Miller back on board again, saying: “Myself and Simon (Collins, co-manager) are really looking forward to working with Paddy again.

"It’s a big capture for the club not just on the pitch but off it too. He’s top-class with the young lads and he will be a fantastic addition for all at the club.”

Hyde won promotion to the Evo-Stik League premier last season, with Miller playing 62 times for the Tigers, scoring seven goals and helping them keep 22 clean sheets.

Central defender Josh Barrett has committed himself to Taddy for next season, too, alongside midfielders Pete Davidson, Corey Roper and Billy Whitehouse.
