FIVE-STAR Dunnington Under-16s won the York FA Senior Minor Cup at Bootham Crescent by beating Old Malton St Mary's.

The 5-1 win secured a trophy double for Dunnington, who finished four points clear at the top of York Motorsports Village Minor League division one.

They also meet Easingwold Town Hawks in the League Cup final at Pocklington on Sunday (1.15pm).

James Swift bagged Dunnington's first goal early on and Jack Creaser doubled the tally after quarter of an hour when he picked up a loose ball five yards out.

St Mary's reduced the deficit on 25 minutes with Patryk Jadczuk's looping header but Nick Hutton restored Dunnington’s two-goal lead before half-time.

Malton made Dunnington work in the second half but they got their reward when Joe Crosby rifled past the advancing keeper and Harvey Bland rounded off the scoring with a glancing header.

Fulford Lions Under-15s beat Dringhouses 4-2 on penalties following a goalless draw to lift the Intermediate (Senior) Minor Cup.

Damian Giliga came close to breaking the deadlock for Fulford as his speculative 25-yard effort hit the bar.

The Lions hit the bar again on 55 minutes and then Ethan Kay forced a fine one-handed save from Dringhouses keeper Nathan Storr.

Houses' Liam White-Lawton saw a 35-yard drive saved by Jake Kirby while Fulford went close again as Storr saved an Alex Hields' drive with five minutes remaining.

Hamilton Panthers Yellows U14s beat Strensall Tigers Yellows 2-0 to lift the Intermediate (Junior) Minor Cup.

The victory ensured their season would end with reward after they had finished as runners-up to Thorpe United in U14s division one.

Ben Thornton put Hamilton ahead after nine minutes, putting home a loose ball in the six-yard box.

Panthers continued to threaten but almost lost their advantage as Strensall's Taylor Bell forced a one-handed save from Edgar Todd.

Panthers started the second half stronger but again Strensall came closest to scoring as Lewis Humphreys forced another save from Todd.

Panthers settled their nerves just after the hour-mark through Jarrad Garratt, whose 18-yard shot found the top corner.

Thorpe United U13s beat Wigginton Grasshoppers 4-2 on penalties after a 1-1 stalemate in the Junior Minor Cup at Bootham Crescent.

Wigginton went close after five minutes when Lewis Chorley fired wide with only keeper Harry McGuire to beat.

Thorpe’s Kian Page's saw a shot saved by the feet of Wigginton’s Will Cresdie, but otherwise neither side looked like breaking the deadlock before half-time.

The second half was going much the same way before Thorpe edged ahead as Aydin Smith squeezed the ball in from an acute angle.

Both sides started to create chances, with Wigginton grabbing the equaliser with a magnificent 45-yard dipping shot from Will Atherton to take the game to penalties.

Atherton's was a goal good enough to win any match, but it was Thorpe who prevailed.
