DOUBLES were the order of the day at the Bilsdale Point-to-Point at Easingwold as trainers Pete Fahey and Guy Brewer recorded two wins each, with the former supplying some exciting young horses.

Brewer's talented Young Hurricane bounced back to form while riders Lottie Crane and Billy Garritty also took home a brace of wins.

Fahey took both divisions of the Open Maiden with Jack Teal piloting Barfly home in division one, driving his mount out after the last and running on well to finish an impressive winner. It was the four-year-old prospect's second start.

The second division went to another four-year-old, the Garritty-ridden Do It For Thy Sen, who made good progress through the race. Despite looking green turning into the home straight, his ability shone through as he battled on towards the line and win with a bit in hand.

Garritty had begun his double in the Conditions race, riding the Brewer-trained Refusal - who is in the form of his life, despite his 10 years of age. Brewer completed his training double in the Men's Open with Young Hurricane, partnered by John Dawson.

Crane was another to double up on the day. Her first win came in the Ladies' Open with the useful Knocklong and her second in the Restricted with Inishturk Lad, who bounced back to form.

The opening race was the Hunt Members race and saw a relatively easy success from Stagecoach Jasper and Chris Dawson.
