YORK Boxing Club's Cam Shaw is the new Amateur Boxing Association's Elite 60kg champion of Yorkshire.
Shaw won on points against John Patrick Harker from Henry's Gym York in the regional final at Sheffield's Colley Club in an entertaining, high-paced battle that pushed both men to the limits.
The victory sees him progress to the Elite championship's pre-quarter-finals in Huddersfield where he will meet the north east champion on Saturday.
The national finals are due to take place at the famous York Hall in London later this month.
