A maximum haul from James Atkins made the difference as leaders Topspin York prevailed 6-4 versus a determined Clarence 'A', while Coneysthorpe 'B' defeated their 'A' team 7-3 despite an unbeaten effort from Martin Lowe.

Three wins from Mick Wilcoxon was the highlight as York RI 'C' drew 5-5 with RI 'B'.

Clarence 'B' are running away with the second division as, despite a battling performance from Stephen Temple, they thrashed Ryedale@RI 9-1, with Steve Ayres and Alfie Potter both recording three wins.

Mark Blackburn and Ben Lockyer were on top form as York RI 'D' defeated Strensall 'A' 7-3, while a treble from Graham Hatfield earned Clarence 'C' a 5-5 draw against Bootham 'A'.

Three wins from Tom Thorp could not prevent York RI 'F' losing 6-4 to against University 'B', and Ian Hilton starred as Bootham 'B' finished strongly to overcome Poppleton 7-3.

A maximum from Ady McClaren was decisive as York RI 'E' edged a close encounter with Shepherds 'A' 6-4.

In the third division, Jan Suchecki and Gary Bunce emerged unbeaten as Clarence CIU 'A' stormed into second place by crushing BT 'A' 9-1.

Simon Prins and John Temple starred as Strensall 'B' beat Clarence CIU 'B' 8-2, South Bank 'A' slumped to a 6-4 defeat against a depleted Shepherds 'B', and a two-man Clarence 'E' did well to share the points with York RI 'H' in a 5-5 draw.

There were only two matches in the fourth division. University 'C' went top of the table, with Ollie Kossoff and Thomas Cuthbert unbeaten in a 9-1 victory against Clarence 'G'. Robert Plant was on song as Clarence CIU 'C' defeated Shepherds 'C' 6-4.
