YORK & District FA Under-19 League division one leaders Wilberfoss Mavericks dropped to second place following a shock 10-2 hammering at Wigginton Grasshoppers.

Harry Clapham netted five of the goals, Harvey Winterburn two and Cameron Bilham, Benny Buck and Billy Browne one apiece.

Dan Gibney and Isaac Clark got the goals for Foss.

New leaders Dringhouses were 4-2 winners at Poppleton thanks to strikes from Will Mouncher, Reece Botterill, Jack Stockell and Charlie Marshall. Billy Annett and Cam Taylor hit home for Poppleton.

Basement side Bishopthorpe White Rose suffered their eighth defeat of the season with a 5-2 loss at Rawcliffe.

Dan Hobson and Joe Manship struck doubles for the hosts and Niall Smallwood was on target as well. Tim Brown and Tommy Pearson replied.

In the only division two game to go ahead, Rufforth United lost 4-1 at home to leaders Fulford. Kelvin Bernard's goal for the hosts was not enough against Jon Paul Vass' hat-trick and Harry Blackwell's strike.
